Experimental Documentary | 3-Channel Video | 15–20 min
Set in the former KZ and underground arms factory of Mittelbau-Dora, where prisoners were forced to build the V2 rocket, HUMAN ENGINE (WT) traces the link between technological ambition and systematic dehumanization — from the Nazi “mega-factory” to the transfer of its knowledge and personnel into the Apollo space program. Technical descriptions of propulsion systems, SS reports, Apollo mission protocols, and real testimonies of survivors interweave as a layered acoustic structure within the three-screen installation. Black-and-white tracking shots through the tunnels, infrared macro images of human skin, and overexposed infrared landscapes create a spatial experience in which architecture, body, and light collide and the promise of modernity reveals its hidden engine.
The project is currently in development in close cooperation with the Memorial Site Mittelbau-Dora, with both funding and filming planned for 2026.
